TEAM|Chicago Bulls

Sale price$3,500.00

This work depicts the majestic Osaka Castle alongside the Chicago skyline, anchored by towers reminiscent of the dual horns rising across the Yodogawa River. It captures the ambition of the warlord who built the stronghold for national unification, alongside the historic monument established by the Chicago Bulls. The piece portrays a scene where the proud history and urban landscapes of sister cities Osaka and Chicago take center stage.

▼UKY-E KAKEJIKU
UKY-E (UNBOUND KNOTTING YORE - EDITORIAL) is a collection of works that embodies the geographical and historical connections between cities in Japan and the United States. Much like the layering process of traditional ukiyo-e—from sketch and block carving to coloring—this series overlays historical ukiyo-e prints from various regions in Japan with real-life photographs of linked American landmarks, expressing a timeline that transcends space and time. The hanging scrolls are produced in collaboration with Tokyo-based scroll master Taishin Sagawa, with the mounting incorporating fabrics and textures that symbolize the team colors.
